The only real problem we had was with the outboard engine – Although it
initially ran, it did not run properly and after the first use, we could not
start it again. A call to Alan and the outboard was picked up in Bequia and
returned a few hours later (we were told that the problem was water in the
carburettor
/ fuel). We refilled the engine with new fuel but after just one short trip, it
started to overheat and smoke. Another call to Alan and it was collected in
Canuan. On return a few hours later, we were told (by Robin) that he had cleaned
the plug but could find nothing wrong. We had to pay him 120 ECD for this (the
money was refunded by Alan at the end of the trip). The outboard, although now
working still did not run properly and continued to overheat so we decided not
to use it again. This mean using water taxis (at our expense) whenever we
stopped.
The yacht, Charter Management, Sailing Area and Weather all great! Look forward
to sailing with Exas again (Turkey 2010 and possible BVI in 2011. Thank you. Hi Thalea, I have to say that we all seemed to have an awesome trip. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to go and relax, spend time with family and enjoy the beautiful areas of Greece we visited and the Greek hospitality. Costa took us to quiet little harbors and ports, each one special in its own way. Christian is a great cook…we all ate far too much! It was really nice to see Jim finally relax. My birthday was very special-Cost and Christian decorated the boat with balloons and a beautiful display of flowers. They even presented me with a gift! Thank you again for all you’re support and coordination of the trip. Hope this is only the beginning of more trips to plan in the future.

Thanks for the awesome photos. They are GREAT! Action photos that bring back
memories! I love them. We are back safe and sound to California, left with
our memories. It took me two days to recover from the jet lag! Finally
feeling better today. I'm sad that we won't be talking any more. If you ever
make it to California please look us up. We could take you to Santa
Cruz to check out Steve's brothers boat and the harbour there. Both Steve
and I feel that you treated us so well and if we ever make it back to Greece
we will definitely use your service to make sure everything goes smooth.
